Nurturing Health from the Inside-out

Nurturing Health from the Inside-out

In the world we live in today, adaptability is key. Imposed restrictions in our routine and schedule can cause a lot of uncertainty and stress and fear. The level of fear that we witness permeating so many lives is understandable, especially for those that watch and listen to an overabundance of mainstream media.

What we have noticed, with the patients we work with, is that they are smart individuals and families, that are educating themselves through other means. They are taking precautions against viruses and bacteria. But they also feel confident about having a healthy host with a strong defence system, are making healthy lifestyle choices, and have an understanding that health does not just come from what infections we can ward off. Health instead is a combination of innate function, lifestyle factors, and a sense of wellbeing.

In our Western society, the solution to a symptom or health condition is typically a prescription drug. If that doesn’t work, often more drugs are prescribed and sometimes injections and sometimes surgery. There can be a time and place for this type of care, but when it is used as a first line of defence, these measures can be over-utilized and can have dangerous side-effects.

Why is it that some people naturally radiate abundant health and some struggle on a daily basis?

Our body has an amazing ability to heal. And when you can focus on making sure your body is functioning as well as possible, and trust your body’s incredible inborn healing potential, health can radiate from the inside-out. Our bodies are equipped with amazing capabilities to adapt, heal, fight, recover and grow.

There are a lot of simple ways to support our bodies and cultivate internal health. These include getting proper sleep, drinking plenty of water, eating a variety of nutrient-dense food, daily exercise and movement, daily stress management, limited sugar and processed food intake, healthy supplementation, and nurturing beneficial relationships.

These actions are basic steps toward better health. These steps promote healing, limit damage and help improve function.

We believe that best health exists when every part of your body can function properly. This can occur when your brain can communicate, uninterrupted, with the rest of your body, telling it what to do, and when to do it.

Structural corrective chiropractic care works with the spine and nervous system to promote optimal communication between the brain and the rest of the body. Proper nerve communication results in better function of the muscles, organs, glands, systems and cells in your body.
